Good God! The worst part is: they think so much of this one, that they are building another one just like it. I am ashamed to admit that I live 50 miles from this abortion. We should buy them just to keep them off of the streets. If anyone on here wins the auction and needs me to pick the bike up, l...

I checked the S/H website. According to the oem parts list, they have everything. The total without seat and new tank (just the proper color plastics) comes to roughly $400. I am going to have to think long and hard about spending that much for plastic pieces and a couple stickers. I did buy the bik...

New project.
I picked up a 94' CR500 Dirt track bike the other day. I have begun searching around for the parts I am going to need to get her looking a little bit more like she did when she was new. I am having a hard time finding the Pink/Red body panels that were on there originally. Anyone on here have any id...

One more Iowa rider here. My last CR500 was sold to a guy from the Sioux City area. I just went to Illinois yesterday to pick up a 94' CR500 flat track bike. I never go too long without owning a CR500. I have a real soft spot for the big bore smokers. The 94' was just gone through with Cool Head, Er...

Where abouts in Michigan? I am currently working on selling my 92' CR500 in order to free up some cash for the purchase of a conversion already done. I have a guy interested, so if the sale goes through, I am definitely interested, or if you are interested in my 92' plus cash that could work too. I ...

92' CR500 and 98' CR250 package deal
Both bikes $2100. Both run and have titles. The 250 I have only had for a short time. Picked it up pretty reasonable in order to do a beer can conversion. I am just too lazy to complete the project, so both bikes need to go so I can make room for an af or afc 500. Pictures on request, or call 641-75...

I may go have look this weekend. If you are close enought o drive to get it, I will buy it and hold it for you. The guy says it run...

Nice
Beautiful bike. I wish my finances were a bit more in order. That bike would make the drive from Iowa worth it.
Good luck with the sale.
Paul
Good luck with the sale.

500
I already sold off the 86' CR500 and bought a 92' CR500 to replace it. I also ran onto a guy with a complete 04' CRF450 roller I can probably get into for around $1000. Might be an interesting summer afterall.

I heard today that the ban has been given a stay for one year. i got this info from a friend who is a Yamaha dealer. Hopefully someone will come to their sences and realize how stupid this legislation is with regards to the power sports industry. Who ever heard of kids chewing on their motorcycles? ...

Gen 1 conversion on Wichita, KS craig's list
Looks pretty good. I can't figure out how to post the link, so just search for cr500. If I had the cash right now, it would be mine.

Not really interested in parting it out at this point. I don't really NEED to sell it. I just figured on passing on a pretty good price to someone else. I don't know what I would ever do with a 1986 roller. I suppose if you would want to give me $800 plus shipping for the motor, carb, and electrics ...

That is actually my ad. I found another 500 beer can already done, so I was just passing this deal on to the next Hoon. I was told the motor was fresh not too long ago. The previous owner supposedly spent nearly $1500 on crank, rod, top end, and clutch. I got it to fire on a 25 degree day after the ...

WTB complete exhaust for a 86' 500
I just bought an 86' CR500. The bike starts and runs, but the pipe is so badly damaged that I can't really ride it. It has been crushed nearly flat just at the exit of the head, there is a hole in it about the size of a slice of bologna in the big part of the expansion chamber, and there are multple...

Thanks for the warm welcome so far. I actually have the 86' CR500 in my posession, so I officially am a current owner. I signed up on the "other" site a while back, and had a few guys give me the business about not being a current owner, so I figured I might want to be official before intr...

Iowa checking in
I have been lurking around for a while. I had a 94' CR500 several years ago and sold it to get into supermoto. The only reason I didn't just sm my hundo was the lack of sm parts for the older bikes. I could just kick myself for ever selling such a nice bike. I got the 94' in practically new conditio...
