Early Model Small crankcase swingarm bushings

Looking for a set of the small 15mm crankcase/swingarm bushings. A friend is dropping a 1999 engine in a 2003 KTM 450SX frame that uses a 15mm swingarm bolt. So he needs the early model smaller bushings. Just thought I'd check. Thanks.

track kit info

The track is 13.5" wide. I built everything except the Ezryde rear skid, that I just modified to 121" rails from 144 since that is the shortest they build. The tunnel is 3/16" aluminum that I cut using a router and a plywood template. Bearing carriers are from a Yamaha phazer chaincas...

Build info

The ski is a modified Simmons Gen II Flexiski, modded to be like the new Timbersled ski, tri-keel. The rear skid is an Ez-Ryde modified to run a 121" length track, used some old Skidoo rails and cut the Ez-ryde coupling slot in the rear. The fuel tank is an IMS 3.9 gallon tank for the 2007 CRF2...

Turbocharging?

Pros and cons of turbo on a cr500? Just curious for snowbike application, more power more better. Can and should it be done? Turbo size, brand, etc... I've seen the one on a cr500 3-wheeler, but I think if have to go with an oiless turbo to clean things up, like the ones from Comp turbo. I'd love so...

pulsed apt smartcarb?

I know you were thinking about pulsing a smart carb, but had expressed some hesitation. I am waiting on my 38mm cast version to show up and am curious about the pulse system in conjunction with this carb. My riding will mostly be with a timbersled snow conversion kit here in Alaska. Curious if you w...

I wish someone had built it with a gearbox attached, I'd run that in my snowbike conversion.

Bike completed and tested

Finished my project and took it for a test ride. The thing runs and rides great. Will take some getting used to after being on a Ktm 525 4-stroke for the last couple of years. I hadn't gotten to ride the donor steelie much since the suspension was clapped out, but the AF definitely vibrates less. I'...

Plastics manufacturer?

Are those polisport plastics? I've seen them for sale but the color in their pictures makes it hard to tell what shade of red they are. I love that look, it takes me back to when I was a kid dreaming of riding something that was way out of my league. DROOL.

AF Welding Filler Rod?

What is the best rod to use when having the AF frames welded? I know I stumbled across it posted a while back, but I've searched around the forum and can't seem to find it again. Frame is ready to go to the welder, just need to know what rod to take him. Thanks.

Mocked up before welding

Here it is all bolted together to make sure everything fits before the frame goes to the welder. What is the best alloy welding rod to weld these things up, I figure I'll leave it up to the welder if there isn't some super secret Cr500 specific alloy. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/febda2...

New in Town

I have been lurking around this site for a couple of months, my membership wasn't allowing me to log on until today. I'm up here in Alaska and am currently working on a 2007 CRF250R conversion. My plans are to run it mostly as a snowbike, with a homemade kit. I've run a Ktm 525sx on the snow for the...
