it is the flat angle part on the dome part of the head before the rounded dome, the distance between that and the piston is what there talking about if that makes sense

would boring my 38pj out have any affect on the power curve

I have a mild ported (basic clean up exhaust raised up about 1 mm) and a re chambered head 87 cr500 motor in a 2001 af frame I'm looking to upgrade my rad valve and 38 pj with either stock reeds or v force.... I was gonna put a bored out 39mm pwk on it (41.5)

but now I see pulse injection and smart ...

I have considered one the only issue I think I would find as a down fall is when I hill climb with the bike??

when I would get stuck it would be like the bike being in neutral correct?

the issue there is with out the bike in gear it is much harder to control the bike on the hill turning around or ...

Looks nice I just did a 2001 frame and a 87 motor I ran into the same intake issue and did the same thing lol.. I am running a single hose for the coolant line I found at a auto parts store.

How long did it take you to do your 200 mile part of the ...

I had to open my 87 case bushings for the 95 roller I put it in there.. I put mine in a lathe to bore id they are pretty hard. It would be easy enough to just make new ones thou if you have access to a lathe.

Other than the ignition and clutch side cover, what ither motor type parts fits the 500 from the 250

this is what it looked like when I got there.

yea it was a mess I don't think they ever cleaned the thing oil and coaldirt is 1/4 inch thick on the motor...

I'm going to go over all the bearings and get the roller up to par and rebuild the front forks (it came with a pivot works seal kit in the package) then work on the motor swap.. Ican't be ...

I wanted to do this since I got my bike and finally found a gen 1 roller I was gonna get, then luckily found this gen 2 one I cant wait to start the project..
