I got the frame and suspension today. The welds don't look too bad, comparable to the factory welds. After grinding a relief area over the weld to clear the lower section of the clutch cover, the motor dropped right in.

I am taking pictures as I go along and will post when I figure how.

I said the radiators are fine but I figured out this morning that one leaks where the spigot was welded. Looks like I will be wiring my welder up sooner than expected.

On another note, I received most of the other parts last night. Just waiting on frame and suspension.

3 of the kids are adults and the next three range from 16-12. All of them ride except for my oldest daughter. We make it a family outing. I have already bought the baby his first bike!

Thanks Bob, that is encouraging. The engine is sitting on the dining room table.

Hopefully I will get it sorted out before my wife has our baby and EVERY project comes to a screaming halt.

New a/f

Before I found this site I ordered a MPS CRF450 conversion. He said he shipped it today.

After reading here I am concerned. Besides poor welds and fit up what do I need to watch out for?
