I split the cases just now and the only worn thing I can find are the dogs pictured below. Shift forks and drum are ok as well. No broken teeth or dogs. Wierd. Happened to me on my 86,was the 3rd and 5th gear engagement dogs,can't remember which shaft,I ended up swapping out the whole tranny,same deal 1st to 4th still worked fine

How do you guys get vehicles there? Air freight would be pretty expensive? I shipped 500 kg to Iqaluit last year, and I think it was around $3500.00. looks similar to my 86 system,but mine has the male/female connectors on the wires for the ignitioncoil not a bolt on type ground like that one my ground wire comes from the ignition coil,mine does have the red shrinkwrap on the other wires as well,that flywheel also looks different then mine
