Thanks 4z that was the answer i was looking for.The pc pipe that i got from mike does not make the most bottom end. I know the fmf will make more and make it more rideable. Does anayone know if fmf makes a pipe that will fit on the ttm 500 gen 3 chassis? And if so where can i purchase one?

Ill probably try a 7 slide since i ride 5000 to 8000ft in the tight trees and high desert. I put a 42 pilot droped the needle all the way down and it seems to run better on the bench but i have not riden it yet.Will take out this afternoon when it warms up.

Ok i got a 39 pwk off ebay that was on a ktm 125.That carb has a #55 slide and seems to rich from1/8 throttle to 3/4 throttle.48 pilot ,168 main . dgh needle. What number slide are you guys running?

Oem and ricky stator are good stators , stay away from eletrosport they are chinese junk.

A dual map switch would be nice,only to improve traction in the wet slimy rocks or the tight silty desert.Running a flywheel weight helps me tame down the motor.I would not invest in that ign just for starting purposes.If you cant get a full kick out of it check the kick starter gear first.

Ive got a 86 flywheel if it will fit. It has a weight welded on it. pm me if you are intrested.

The only way to test the box is to swap it out with a known good stator off a running bike. Im not shure what resistance but if you find a honda manual that should have the resistance for the stator. My 2 junk stators checked out good with the restiance but i could not get the bike to start verry ...

I had the same problem starting my bike with the 96 cr 250 ign. The eletrix stators had a lot of issues. I also thought my jetting was off. Replaced the stator with a rickey stator, and now my bike starts 1st kick hot or cold.Also the timing plate on the bottom of the stator where the bottom bolt ...

Right on!! I have an 86 motor in my ttm bike also. The transmission works great for offroad.Sweet bike!!
