it isnt. im not stupid.........it was out of whack all around, it had no top end at all until changing the main. now it will not idle and dies when letting out the clucth unless at half throttle. and the top still isnt right it is sputtering and blubbering, all that seems to work right is the mid ra...

yeah i put that together after my first reply....dee de deee :lol: i couldnt get mine to run right till i put a 160 in it. and ittl go to 158 up at widowmaker. dosent that sound lean to you? but as it sets with the 160 the plug looks perfect.

well i grew up riding oldies like yz 465-490's and before that i did hare scrambles and desert raced a bultaco 370, so compared to those its a dream bike, i personally like the 88's conventional forks to the upside downers for desert riding. it feels so much cushier than the new af's.

when they measure is it center of axle to center or outside to outside? how does the go- no go stick work? this is the first time i will have to be measured, i always ran open -x before.

i just wish i would have made it a half inch shorter, i didnt measure with me on it when planning it :shock: so with me on it it is 65 1/2" axle to axle. it should be fine if i dont have a picky inspector at the line.

what is the piston clearance supposed to be on a vertex piston? it came with no instructions. same as wiseco or is cast different?

longer stones for sure, thats what I need. mine are riveted in though so I think I will have to just get a new one. I hate breaking in new stones though, I usually use it in a trash cyl. first to break the rough edges off and to saturate the stones with oil.

my buddy used those pirelli "dirt paddles" last year at widowmaker, they worked awesome to get through the loose powder at the start of the hill but up in the rocks it got chunked up pretty bad, after the 2nd run it was missing a lot of knobs.

I would think that it would have a detrimental affect on a two stroke by adding fuel where it isnt needed, causing a rich spot and maybye a bog.
