That's Ron`s pulse intake, I do have the setup on my gen3.
The intake isn't expensive and he mods the carb for the same price but if you have to buy the carb and reeds it pushes the price up.

When i pull start it the wheel only needs to make a slight movement before it fires up, moved the brass out but still...

In South Africa we have very, very high crime and all homes every were come standard with burglar bars and safety gates in front of the house doors. You will drive around a long time before you get a house without it. I even have a safety gate in my house that cut the rooms off from the rest of the h...

I send it for welding, my numbers was not high and was only asking about drag type porting because I hit the water jacket. I flattened it a lot trying to regrinding the outside radius were it meets the roof and that's were the one transfer port opened. I think it could be a casting problem on that s...

Transfer ports
When you guys do drag race porting, high exhaust and transfer port duration
do you hit the water jackets on the transfers and do you weld it up? The 86 jug when flattening the transfer roofs hit the water jacket pretty quick.

I am not saying this is the best way, but it is a way if you don’t want to split the cases. I drilled mine out with a masonry drill bit, using two sizes bits and not jumping straight to the final size. Use a lot of coolant and drill one side and then drill from the other side(not from one side right...

Squish
I got my squish at .035''-.037'' depending at what side I measure it. It was measured front, rear, left and right side, I now this is about as tight as a ticks ass for a 500 jug. Has any other hoon run it that close or do you guys think it will hit the head. It’s a 86 head but I made the squish band...

I hear you guy’s advice and going to take it even if it feels so wrong having a 2 stroke that revs so low. Ill only smooth everything out, remove some exhaust port tunnel floor, match all and do the head squish. Did not have any real off-road time on the bike just ridding it on the tarmac and consid...

Woods porting
I finished my gen3/86 conversion took it for a short run and then stripped my motor for a complete rebuild and porting. Woods/ harescrables and enduro is the terrain the bike will spend most of its time and of course that is the porting I need, but being a novice porter there is questions. The exhau...

I was giving it some thought about a new cradle, but decided that it was too extreme for my first build and then I stretched her. I pushed the rails out but they just kept coming back, moved the jack around on the cradle and it started stretching. My frame rails had to move about the same distance a...
