poke a pin hole in your grips and put a needle in between the grip and tube and a one wire you ground ( of the bike ) and hook a charged microwave capacitor to it with a argon switch.

Step 1) turn on switch

step 2 ) hide dead body

step 3 ) turn off and re charge capacitor

Well today i got a 70ish xl175 for 40$, i hook the coil up to the lighting coil on the sater and she fired right up. it has 6700ish km on it so its about a 110 hour old engine...... anyways the thing is the biggest beater bike ever but the engines mint...........

My frame is done and welded now but i still need to mess with the rads

anyways i asked the qustion because i was more curious about how much load is on the engine cradle, from what i see it looks like the rotating force from the engine is mainly going to the head stay and swingarm bolt and the ...

If you were take the bottem 2 engine mounts (not the swingarm one) out of your bike, would it hold up to the engine power ?

its a super tight fit and will still need some shaving after its welded, im trying to build the frame with the pipe in mind

get the 89-01 kicker so it will clear the low-boy pipe you have to use, it has like a funky c twist in the middle to get around the tail section of the pipe. On the 86 your pipe goes over the top of that kicker so I'd think it will interfere.

Polished or not you got some dedication to do all that ...

So i got the frame done today and il post pics asap, i did have to cut the y but i ground it out and made it look stock and i used built 7/8'' bar to space out the y and crade/engine mount. Just need make the frount mounts and get everthing welded and build a over kill head stay

it looks kinda ...

I dig the look. But on a bike that isnt a Supermoto, or strictly used in the dunes, polished takes too much work. Heck, keeping the thing nice takes a lot of work. I'll keep the frame spars polished on my bikes, thats about it. the rest is a LOT of work.
