Finally took some pics. I found new Braking rotors for both ends. Not pictured are the electronics, carb and ignition cover. I have those as well. https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/553137_10151972252658556_1668149606_n.jpg https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/553137_101519...

87' CR500 trades????

It was an ebay find to replace the original engine that went into the AF. Condition unknown. It has decent compression and shifts thro...

The forks are easy to rebuild. I'd order the springs (for your weight), bushings and seals since they're all probably worn out. Those forks deliver a pretty sweet ride when setup correctly.

Mine bolted right on the CRF250 chassis. Paul modified my right one as well. He can tell you how well (or not) they're built.

The prices are in line with comparable gear. Big question is if it'll last like the original JT gear.

That's a left hand sweeper with a few small doubles. The rear kicked to the inside on the first one. Funny thing, the guy that took the picture (he has the sequence too) ran over and was like "you'll never crank that old 500". 2 kicks and I'm on my way. He rides 4 strokes so I guess he's u...

14/50 will put you in 5th gear for alot of Cycle Ranch while 1st gear is useless except for your ride from the truck to the track. I just ordered 14/48.

Info is all over this site on this. You'll have to bore the bushings the swingarm bolt passes through and redo the the water pump hose routing from the pump to the cylinder. Chances are the water pump is rotted and if it's not, it will be. For ease, the later engines are the way to go although I pre...

Super day of riding the "new" 2000 CR500 I recently picked up! Don't sweat it, you'll figure out how to crank them. That being said, I've bought more CR500s from guys that couldn't crank them than you can imagine, this 2000 being one of them. I couldn't own a bike I couldn't crank in a cou...
