Now I feel like an idiot because a few days ago I searched every combination of "cr" "500" "motor" and "engine" I could come up with and I didn't find much.

I'm in north New Jersey.. around 30 miles from NYC. The only whole bikes I've seen are 1500+.. I know I'd get alot back in the end but that initial payment might be a problem.

And yes, you were right britincali.

Yeah I definetly think that the grinding out/strengthening way is what I'll end up doing. I weight in at a wopping 140 pounds soaking wet so I think it can handle it. Now I just need to find an engine. I thought that would be relatively easy but I don't see many if any at all in craigslist or ebay ...

Chachi that bike really is good looking. It definetly has a clean look to it. I don't know if I'd go that way or the traditional way.. I'll have to decide. Shanman I'm in no rush, the planning is all starting to come together. Can you let me know when you have headstay's to sell?

This sight has already proved very helpful. Shanman for the headstay, dannygraves for the motor mounts.. sounds good. Now I still don't really know what you guys do to the Y's. I know when its done it looks like there was a lot of welding involved. So what is actually done to it? Also, does anybody ...

new to the conversions point me in the right direction

Hey guys. I just joined this sight, as directed by britincali from TT. I currently have an 03 CR250 that I would love to stuff a CR500 engine into. I really need a basic guideline of what I need/need to do. I've searched around, and it seems everyone does it differently so its kind of hard to get a ...
