What did the lever end of the push rod look like? I had to machine a new bushing for the input shift (lever end) my push rod was torn up and the lever looked just like yours all rounded over. I've had the motor apart before and replaced the pushrod once, but never noticed that there was a bushing ...

K. So my 06 needs a facelift. Lookin at kits and there's some pretty cool stuff but nothin I want.. Love the 96 factorys but nothing to fit my shrouds- so I'm makin some customs. Changing the colors and maybe freshen the font a bit. Tell me your suggestions, I'm open for whatever.

heres my coil mount. between the headstay mount and shock mount. made from 2 peices of 1/2 dia. solid, drilled and tapped, about 3/4 inches long with a 45 degree cut on one end.

alright, i am soo close to being done. all frame mods, tank mods, radiators.... and so on are done... but i have one friggin thing left. the airbox. my motor is an 88, and my carb is hitting the spring. what year reed cage and box boot do i need bob? your doing the same build i am, and i see yours ...

i can get material, and if need be, i still have the original y. im not worried, the input is appretiated. no, im in ohio . do you really think this looks like crap? its perfectly symetrical and perfect clean welds.. better than the factory welds i think..

I dont know if youve gotten that far, but a heads up, your tank is going to need some mods... i have a 250x also, without the plug in the head the tank only sits about 3/4 " above the head. ill take pics to show how ive done it.
