The pizza party was pretty much a bust. I would have focused on getting everyone to properly prep their bike, what kind of pace and terrain to expect, and do's and donts of the trail.... but hey.... thats just me. If anyone had done this ride before then what to expect would have been provided but ...

Lightly rained for about 1.5 hrs and then we hit a bunch of fog and some snow. We stopped and dethawed ...

Update We will be meeting up at the Del Taco parking lot off of the Lenwood exit at 8am sharp and then heading over to Brit's house to stage. We will be adding 38 miles to the ride but most of it will be fast powerline/frontage roads next to the I-15. Looks like between 40 and 80% chance of rain fo...

Huh, more questions than answers? What else do you want to know Bob? I thought the plan was laid out and clear, we will to the campground and then head north and if the dry lake is a lake then we will detour. If you have any other questions let me know and we will get them hammered put now. When I g...

13x49 x 300 miles =

You cant even run 13x49 at the Adalento GP
When you're slow like I am, that feels fast!

I'm on a 450x. The gearing it has now is a 13/49 bit I am going to bump it up to a 14/49. I am not sure about the 650s but the 450 only has 5 gears and with the gearing it has I was topped at 60ish. I guess I will lead but the pace will not be too intense. For those who want to haul, feel free to bl...

I read most of that thread and I think it is the organizer's fault, not Spot's. I think the results would be different if there was not an event going on but just my opinion. I have talked to other people who have them and they say that they work great. I would rather have it and never use it than n...

I agree with Hammer, just pony up for a GPS unit and a RAM mount. This will fit all of your needs. Get a good GPS and you can lead the rides or a crappy one will fill your trip/speed/dist info. Let me know if you need some suggestions.

Yea, a new frame would be nice but I think it is the principle of having to spend all of that time re-transferring the componenets over to the new frame that is the issue. I was truly bummed to hear the bad news as I was over there on a nightly basis watching the progress.... and most likely slowing...
