Re: Been awhile
Brother nothing, you have to go to Facebook to chat with any old school peeps. The websites are dead. I check in every six months or so to crickets.

Re: New cr500 owner road registered and in UK. Tuning tips
pretty vague description of what you want to do so I will give you the easy answer. Call Roosty, or PM him. He owns this site, he is around on facebook CR500 sites and he runs a machine shop in Canada. He knows everything about these motor and has most everything you could want in stock to make you ...

Re: Wiseco std size forged piston cylinder clearance
Hit up blownbillybob, every piston will vary a little....I guess you could just slap something together but for a motor that will last years and years I'd just do it right. Send the jug to Bill, he will size it properly with the proper bore measuring equipment that will make sure it isn't tapered or...

Re: 1989 CR500 R/H crankcase cracked
I think most will say run that 38. For me on my trail ridden bike I like the stock carb jetted right out of the book and it runs perfect and consistant for me always...but most don't have the same experiences as I do with the stock carb. My snow bike and my sand bike both run 39's and work well.

Re: Rhino's AF rides
Rode a good one with some of the boys last weekend. We rode up to the top of Mount Patterson in the sweetwaters. Some pretty cool singletrack with a bunch of fairly deep water crossings. Mostly smoother flowing type singletrack...not as much of a rock pounding but fairly technical. I rode my XR agai...

Re: Rhino's AF rides
Haven't been here in a while. So here is my update. Last year right before Christmas while out riding my AF with a group of guys I went down pretty hard and flew into a pile of rocks. I was able to get myself back to my truck and drove home to start healing. A few weeks later I went to Hoonfest. I r...

Re: What's your personal point of view about Los Angeles?
I don't spend much time in LA, I go for supercross every few years, I have taken my kids to Disneyland a few times, and I pick up cars/motorcycles there from time to time. I also have a bunch of friends that live there I played football with...some of them live in less desirable parts of town that I...

I'm not sure if it is just how close the picture was taken but it looks rougher than I am used to seeing but I don't look at them through a magnifying glass and that may be the perspective these pictures were taken. I can see cross hatching for sure but they look kind of ball hone style deep...may j...

Man don't make me go back to Facebook...that was a horrible experience. Politics, freaks from the past, all the people I never wanted to find finding me. Apparently sarcasm doesn't translate well in text, people I've never met threatening to kick my ass...me wanting to give out my address to give th...

Guess I should have updated this, Sponsership....if thats what we are calling it fell through. My buddy who has paid for all this Baja madness had some unfortunate circumstances hit his life and before the start of the summer had to back out. I got to keep the helmet race lights he had purchased and...

No Idea, I have ridden a 450 for a total of about an hour my whole life and I have never ridden a FI bike....I have been on a 500 since about 1988 and my 4 stroke experience is either a 600 or 650 xr. In general I would say the delivery appears to be typical 500, it doesn't wind out as long and it i...
