Re: 1989 CR500 R/H crankcase cracked

I think most will say run that 38. For me on my trail ridden bike I like the stock carb jetted right out of the book and it runs perfect and consistant for me always...but most don't have the same experiences as I do with the stock carb. My snow bike and my sand bike both run 39's and work well.

Re: Rhino's AF rides

Rode a good one with some of the boys last weekend. We rode up to the top of Mount Patterson in the sweetwaters. Some pretty cool singletrack with a bunch of fairly deep water crossings. Mostly smoother flowing type singletrack...not as much of a rock pounding but fairly technical. I rode my XR agai...

Re: Rhino's AF rides

Haven't been here in a while. So here is my update. Last year right before Christmas while out riding my AF with a group of guys I went down pretty hard and flew into a pile of rocks. I was able to get myself back to my truck and drove home to start healing. A few weeks later I went to Hoonfest. I r...

Re: What's your personal point of view about Los Angeles?

I don't spend much time in LA, I go for supercross every few years, I have taken my kids to Disneyland a few times, and I pick up cars/motorcycles there from time to time. I also have a bunch of friends that live there I played football with...some of them live in less desirable parts of town that I...

Holy Shit Bob!!!! You look great for starters, car looks bad ass!!! who the fuck is going to drive it? doesn't appear to be enough room between the back of the seat and the firewall to fit your gigantic body. Glad to see you're still playing with stuff. I'm still loving your old AF!!!

The frame in most US states is titled and on motorcycles is titled with a motor number on the pink as well. It's up to you if you need a title or not.

Man don't make me go back to Facebook...that was a horrible experience. Politics, freaks from the past, all the people I never wanted to find finding me. Apparently sarcasm doesn't translate well in text, people I've never met threatening to kick my ass...me wanting to give out my address to give th...

I think we paid $2700 for it if memory serves, it is very very clean....but the street legal part is Nevada, not sure how that all works in California. Check with Bob, he was selling his and street legal in CA.

Guess I should have updated this, Sponsership....if thats what we are calling it fell through. My buddy who has paid for all this Baja madness had some unfortunate circumstances hit his life and before the start of the summer had to back out. I got to keep the helmet race lights he had purchased and...

No Idea, I have ridden a 450 for a total of about an hour my whole life and I have never ridden a FI bike....I have been on a 500 since about 1988 and my 4 stroke experience is either a 600 or 650 xr. In general I would say the delivery appears to be typical 500, it doesn't wind out as long and it i...

I have a 500 powered snowbike. My only real problem so far is cooling on spring days...hopefully handled with a thermostat and a tunnel cooler. Other than that my bike was flawless and worked perfect.

All your stuff should run fine, check out Alisobobs jetting thread for PWK stuff, ace that flywheel weight, check the alignment of your clutch actuator arm, that might be worn out or galled, maybe get a new cable. My clutches are hard to tell the difference in pull effort compared to a KTM hydro...t...

O.K here is my year end wrap up. Timbersleds are awesome and super fun, kind of like riding sand dunes in the woods hanging off the side of a cliff in the middle of nowhere. The terrain goes forever and you can get to places others will never see in minutes. Reliability is obviously paramount!! Thin...

I would do it again in a minute and may. I am getting a 137 kit off a guy for next year and have not decided yet what route I am going to take, weather I sell my kit, or build another bike, if I build another bike should I make it a 500 or build up another bike more as a loaner. For me if it wasn't ...
