Could be the same cases for sure but if the water pipes run parrallel to each other and one of them doesn't go to the back of the cylinder near the carb the cylinder has been changed as well, I believe to do that you would also have to run the longer rod out of the later motor...all doable.

The motor sounds like 1989 up, non USD forks were only offered up to 1988. Without seeing the bike or the pipe I am just guessing waht you have. Not sure what you are asking on the pipe.

Hoonfest 2013 Jan. 18th weekend

I know it's not for everyone but Hoonfest is the 18th of Jan. Maybe at this point it should be named Hoons-left. If you like singletracking through some pretty gnarly stuff its a good time. If you live where it's snowing and cold that time of year like me it's a nice way to get some moto-ing in with...

Looks like they are saying it was a cow or a horse now, I've almost hit deers, bears, wild horses, antelope and cows....luckly I'm about 1/16 the speed of Kurt so I think I might have made it, except the bear maybe, if I had hit that thing and fallen off it probably would have eaten me.

Seems like the 500 fury and conversions are dying down, guys who used to build bikes for a living have left, guys put together steelies but seems they are mostly as models and rarely used. Maybe the party is over and maybe the 500 sites will die but until the last day I ride a motorcycle in the dirt...

I would like to have been there, and I'm well known for making long road trips on short notice. I was unfortunate enough to get to spend Sunday at another funeral/wake that hit even closer to home than Jay in every sense of close to home, My neighbor and close friend of 13 years. I couldn't agree mo...

I hung out with him for the first few days a little and then another night when everyone left. We got half sauced on his Mai Tai's and shot the shit till la...

Hey with that 81 be careful with the swingarm...I had the 250, same design on the swinger, I was in 8th grade and really torqued the wheel down, it cracked the swingarm the way they designed it with the solid piece for wheel mounting. Cool bike BTW. I'm sure it will look really nice when your done w...

MMMMMMM.....Tammy thank you!!!

I'll come to So Cal anytime, just not from TG to Christmas. I was going to go to the Iggy B-Day bash but it cancelled out on rain so I went and rode in AZ in the Bradshaws since I already had clearance for the weekend. If you guys get to some riding I'm there.

I think my job, being a pussy with a mouse attached to my paw, is messing me up. I have made more money hooked to a shovel than anything else in my life. As I have progressed I have turned into a mouse pusher. I sit too much, I have not really put on much weight but I don't carry my weight the same ...

I'm moto-ing, I ride to work at least once a week on the 650R and then singletrack mess around home. Try to get in a moto on the weekends either at night when the family goes to bed or when time permits. Been pretty much strictly XR, CR gets ridden Fall-Spring and the XR pretty much handles summer.

Mine boils out the first 5 minutes on the first pull out of my house every time. It finds a level at about the top fins of my radiator and usually keeps it right there. I don't have an overflow tank. I run a heavy duty cap that helps some but I throw coolant every time.
