Pulse Induction from Ron McCord of Pulse Engineering
Hello everyone, I was trying to get hold of Ron at Pulse Engineering. It's been quite a few years since I spoke with him and his number has since been disconnected ( Ron @ Pulse Engineering 406-248-5595 ). I tried searching for anything recent but his e-bay page has not been active for over a year. ...

I just realized that this bike was put together with left over parts from a few other bikes so now I'm not sure if they are even 95 graphics. The link is below with a pic of the bike, if anyone knows what year they are from please let me know. http://www.bannedcr500riders.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1...

95 CR500 Radiator Shroud Graphics
Hello everyone, you may or may not have seen my post about having a few of my bikes stolen. My 95 CR500 was recovered BUT the scumbags tore the radiator shroud graphics off and I can't buy a new set because they are no longer available. I would like to find a set of the original graphics for the bik...

Hello everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back on here and update everything. Over this past week talking with the detective who is handling the case I have found out more than I ever realized. Every person who was involved with this theft is a member of a bloods gang here in Wilmington. ...

STOLEN BIKES IN WILMINGTON NC AREA
Over the weekend there were several motorcycles stolen from my shop, the first two I was working on for other people and the rest were mine. I want to reach out to anyone in the Wilmington / Leland North Carolina and surrounding area who rides that may see a few of these on the road / trail etc. My ...

Chains too tight.... The chains on these bikes ( 81-83 CR450 and 480's ) are no joke. Just a smidge too loose and it skips the front sprocket when you let off the gas. It doesn't matter with or without that cheezy chain guard / cover thing and then your welding up the case. If your lucky enough to ...

I also did the baggie thing with my CR480. Problem was that it turned out to be a back burner project and then I found my 84 CR500 which I thought would be fix a few minor things and ride it. The 84 was in worse shape than the 83 and before I knew it I had baggies full of parts from two bikes. Then ...

82-83 CR480 compression release heads for sale
Hello everyone, I just finished up installing compression release valves in three CR480 heads that I had for spares. They are also cleaned up, glass beaded a little, resurfaced and ready for paint then install and go. I didn't paint them because you never know what someone will want. I can paint the...

That's awesome you got the bike, I forgot to ask it you were the one who bought it. I think $800 was a fair price from the looks of it. You got a lot more for your money than I did but I didn't get to see mine till it arrived. When my wife and I looked it over we felt bad for the bike and the couple...

Awesome to hear you finally got your bike out riding, well almost a year ago. It looks great and sounds like it runs good too. Did you have it out much this year? I put the 39.5 PWK on mine too and wow what a difference. I think we are destined to be tightening bolts and things as long as we own the...

It's been a while but the last updates I have for the old 84 really helped. I got a new intake setup for my 95 and found a cheap Rad Valve on e-bay so I put the 39.5mm PWK on with it. I then took the 38mm PJ carb and put it on my 83 CR480 and was so happy to get the PE carb off it. No matter what I ...

Hello J, I paid $800 for my 84 BUT it was a total puss case and was probably worth more like $300~$400. The guy actually delivered it for my from Maryland on his way to Myrtle Beach so I couldn't say I don't want it at that point. I honestly felt bad for the guy and his wife because they were about ...

I was a noob back then. I have discovered that anything pilot 48+ on my pwk39 will not start. 40-45 is spot on. 170-175 main are good, depending on temperature and humidity. 32:1 is very popular mixture ratio for cr500 believe it or not. Brian, you might be running too lean 50:1. Again all bikes ar...

Unless your oil specifically states that you run 32:1 that is a lot of oil for a water cooled bike. I run either Amsoil Interceptor at 50:1 or Klotz Benol at 40:1. Most oils recommend a mix of 32:1 for an air cooled engine. If you are mixing more oil than is recommended what you are actually doing i...

You might want to look into this setup :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181184205826
and I would not recommend the V-Force reeds. I removed them from both my bikes and replaced them with a Boyesen Rad Valve. I installed this Pulse setup on my 95 CR500 and I love it. Roosty can tell you about it also.

Cool how do you like the setup? I had a 39.5 PWK but not the air striker and I had VForce3 reeds so yeah I had to buy the whole package. It just seems way more responsive and got rid of a lot of the ding da ding ding idle. I wonder if there is a post on here about that pulse induction system Ron sel...

Here is another interesting setup that I actually purchased earlier this year and just had a chance to install it. www.ebay.com/itm/181098703206 It cost a bit more than what is listed on ebay because it needs a modified Rad valve and quad vent airstriker carb to go with it. My 95 CR5 now starts with...

CR500 Turbo Crank on Fleabay
I'm really not sure where to put this so I'll stick it here. Second time I saw this crank on ebay and just wondering what you fellas think about it. www.ebay.com/itm/130926927212 My thoughts are if this crank was really that great of an idea it wouldn't be getting sold on fleabay not to mention they...

39.5 PWK Jetting
I have a 95 CR500 and run a 39.5 PWK from carb parts warehouse. It came with a 175 main, 55 pilot, CEJ needle and I'm not sure what the slide is. I have a Pro Circuit Platinum pipe, FMF silencer, Vforce3 reeds, run 93 ethanol free gas with a BR8EG plug. Runs very strong, instant throttle response an...
