Taking a guess, I'd say 00-01 only. Go to an OEM parts retailer site that still lists part numbers, and check year to year. I think Honda East in Toledo still does. That's what I do, when I need info like that.

Seems to me, when I had my motor apart at Roosty's shop, mine gapped at 50 thou. I slapped that bitch together and rode it, long and hard.

By memory, I want to say Adam has seen some pretty shoddy stuff. Apparently, the new casting facility isn't quite as good as the old one. The tapered cylinder sounds like a GSS bore job, but maybe Honda is having issues there as well.

Son of a bitch, REALLY? If I'd known that, I would've looked you up. I ran through Reno all last summer, usually on the way to Tracy Ca,, then reload in Salinas. Pretty much a rounder every week. Used to take a nap at the top of the Donner, where the temp was cool enough to shut the truck off. Some ...

Refresh my memory, where do you live? Some cool stories and pics, btw. I didn't ride for just over 2 years, until last November. Working in the oilpatch and all the flying across the country, had my life pretty fucked up. The drought ended last November, although it was on my 250. Roosty has the POS...

Legally, Honda was only required to make parts until 2011. I wonder how many are left, and how much prices will jump, once dealers realize they are sitting on the last ones. It wouldn't shock me if AJ signs an "exclusive supplier" deal with Honda, so he can continue to build AF's, and ass ...

They both are Showa suspended bikes, but the axle offset may be different. Take one fork off the 02, and see if the axle lugs line up, in the other bikes triple clamp. The change in lug setting will affect how the bike handles, whether it's for better or worse will depend on your preference. In 05, ...

If you have the money, buy a set of the 02-08 Showa Twin Chambers, and get the triples from a 96 500 or newer. Those forks fit perfectly into the clamps, I know, I've done it. I had the entire front end from my 04 450, so wheels and brakes were no problem. If you are going to do this swap, don't sho...

If I'm not mistaken, there are 2 fees involved for keeping this site up and running? If a bunch of us pony up and keep it going, would that not work? No one really has ownership, per se, just keep the info up and available. I'm not around like I used to be, but there is some invaluable info on here.

Go hit up digger29's thread on his 300 KTM build on Vital. I know you said you don't like KTM, but the Husky will be the same bike, just different plastics. Unless the whole bike is an issue.
