I used to be a big fan of 927 at 40:1 but after having sticking rings / power valve on my KTM 300 and decomp valve on my 500 I had to say good bye and moved to Amsoil Saber 80:1.
I been running everything at this ratio and its super clean, all trail ridden so maybe not the best conditions for 927 ...

I fitted a "Clake One light" (Aussie manufacturer) brand hydraulic clutch master cylinder using a Magura slave cylinder on my '01.
More common to be used on KTM's
It's the first time in 10 years that the clutch actually fully disengages!

Bit late now but I had the same issue with my '87 radiators being full of magnesium after the water pump / clutch housing imploded.
I jammed a potato in the bottom radiator outlet filled it up with coca cola and left them soak for 3 days.
Flushed out with the hose and you have nice clean radiator ...

You might want to get them to chamfer the edges of the ports and to relieve the exhaust bridge while they are working on it.
Refer to the Honda cr500 manual.

Don't use those cheap aftermarket breathers.
My mate put his bike in the garage after we were riding and turned off the fuel tap.
Stinking hot day,a few hours later he went back to the garage to get some
coldies and there's fuel all over the place.
The fuel tank had huge splits on both sides.

I think they don't cope as well as a standard plug if the jetting is a bit rich.
Which is why they are better for EFI where fuel mixtures are more accurate.

When I got my big girl, she had boyesen carbon reeds fitted using the stock plate.
It went great...until I put a 39.5 PWK and rad valve in :D :D

I did fit a set of Boyesen carbon reeds to my brothers YZ250WR and that was supplied with a small rev plate ,disgarding the stock plate.

This is what I've used,Atomic brand steel manifold.
Just replace the supplied o-rings with nirtrile o-rings and put a fat 0-ring
where the pipe butts up against the manifold to reduce metal on metal contact. No more leaks :D

Like 2strokeforever says the 250 ignition is the MAN.
I rode my bike for the first time with a 250 ign in the bush last weekend and I'm still raving about it!
It transformed it from a wheel spinning snappy staller into a faster, harder to stall, easier starting,cleaner burning,easier to control ...

I'm no jetting expert but 172 seems a little lean to be WFO for 230km?
