I found going larger than 50 wears the chain guard more quickly. I like 13x50 for trails. On the track we prefer more subtle rear sprocket gearing changes. Sometimes you find yourself between gears in a section and one tooth can make it right.

I just tried the loctite blue tape. Time will tell but like it for the seat and body bolts that I take off alot and do not like to crank on. We have had sproket bolts come loose on several occasions, loctite green or red always. I believe this is related to gas and brake track conditions.

I was refering to the stock radiators. I prefer them, no need for the oversize, I will check into getting them fixed. Headstay is under the 450 headstay thread, kind of highjacked the thread but saw no need to start another.
Desert is perfect here now. I fear I have too much rear tire to steer.

Chain might be a little snug, I could get two fingers between the chain & the rear of the slider. I will check again when the bike is on the ground. I did most of my reading after I started the build...big mistake. IE: I did not know Pro circuit offered an "AF" pipe. I chose this pipe ...

I have the skills to fit but not to weld aluminum. I decided not to reinvent
and get it done. You will find there are a hundred small things to think about. I have been racin instead of working on my project. I have ramped it up now Idaho desert riding is starting.

I satisfied with the work. Frame looks oem to me Ray had a bout with an illness so it took a long time. He treated me right. Motor was an exact fit , snug and no voids. Hopefully no excessive vibration. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/6648fb30ff92fe334a261e7670924e69.jpg https://bannedcr50...

Asking for feedback on this design. Animal Power fabricated this headstay out of flat stock. I got paranoid about frame flex after reading the threads and added the backbone to the bracket. I really like the previous halo design. https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/b5aab7fcc349cf6a5cb68411c2b9...
