All I got to say is WOW!!! That looks sweet!!!! I think I've decided to give it a shot, now I got to sell the 450 engine, and find a CR500

Has anyone considered doing a CR500 conversion with a 2009 YZ450F? I have a low hour 450 and I was thinking of pulling the engine and selling it, then getting a nice CR500 2 smoke and put it in the 2009 450 frame. Just wondering if anyone has attempted this or not. I think it would be a sweet conver...

I like the clearance you have for your pipe, mine is within mm of touching the bottom of the air box. Probably because I used the CR250 air box?? That seems strange, bent pipe maybe ? i think the box is the same, just the boots different. Did you use the original lower engine mounts ? yup stock bot...

rear pipe mount, cost me $3... I thought bugger welding it. I've used a 32mm super clamp with the bango clamp bolt going straight through it.... i dont expect it to be easy just abit worried about getting the engine in the correct position what spacers etc and does the clutch casing touch the frame the fabrication would be done by a friend just need pointing in the right direction Thanks I'm pretty sure you can use 2002-2007 CR125 swing arm...

Any tips appreciated have a crf 250 2010 bike and want top put cr250 2001 engine in what air box to use etc cheers 2001 CR250 air boot works good, but I would scrap the CRF conversion and find a 2002-2007 CR250 2-stroke to convert instead, they are just easier to convert. The CRF's are nice if done...

I would go with a matching pipe and silencer, just my 2 cents

I wouldn't trust a rollbar made out of aluminum

I got a friend to make me new case bushings and swingarm spacers. 54mm in the LH side 59mm on the RH side I'm going to drop in my complete engine in to be sure but do the spacers sound correct? :?: If it is correct I'm going to break out the saws all. those are the right spacers, they worked for me...

I used a 2003 CR250 throttle cable for my conversion and it's only a couple inches or so longer than the stock CR500 cable.

Rad Valve, AKA: Reed Valve System. Stock means they came on the bike from the factory, they go in the rear of the engine jug, in front of the carburetor
