I've been using 927.
I've been mixing it at 40:1, but it seems like I should use less oil.

What are you guys mixing at?

So this is the Redline 80W gear oil - green. The oil coming out was probably ATF. It is plum colored. It doesn't want to drain into the pan. This stuff has been sitting for about 1/2 hr & won't drain into the oil pan. Ran the bike & got on it & it's happy... http://www.durknhi.com/durknh...

Turned my 'BFD' into:

I hadn't been on there in over a year, and what I saw I didn't like.

I got one of the Gopro 960's. They had them at Costco. The ride started out misting, but then it was a light rain. The rain on the lens kind of screwed up the footage. We got into heavier rain & the inside of the housing fogged up. It was a wet day. I think they have moisture absorbent pieces yo...

I like the Redline synthetic oils.
They make motorcycle specific oils for clutches.

I use their 80W motorcycle gear oil in the CR500af.
I use their 10-40 motorcycle oil in the XR-650r.

Yeah, Obama is a worthless POS.

He & Hillary looked like they couldn't believe what happened, when OBL was killed. But Obama took the credit.

I put on a set of Pirelli Scorpion XCMH.

They seem harder than the previous tires & skid easier on asphalt.
May get better as I wear them down a bit.

I ride mine on the street regularly.
Went to Costco to get something yesterday.
I take it to the post office, supermarket...

You just have to be careful with knobs on the road & easy on the throttle in slight turns.

THe KLR's, XR650L's & DR650's are heavy. The XR-650r is around 280. You can open them up to get alot more HP. If you want to ride hard, in the dirt, go with the R. You can ride them real hard, they are just not big jumpers. The others are good on roads, if you will spend alot of time on asphalt.

It had the front guards on it.

It took a shot to where the side plastic mounts to the side of the radiator.

Not sure I can fix it - maybe a weld fix.

97CR500AF - Radiator

So i'm loading the bikes & threading tie downs between spokes, and the CR5 tips & hits the bed rail. Didn't think much of it, because it was close to the side & didn't hit too hard. The plastics mount to the radiator, & I guess it took a square hit on the side. I've got a cracked rad...

I don't think they are doing service anymore.

I'm running Maxxis non DOT tires on my af.
I don't think Ill be able to renew with non DOT.

I'm running a Pirelli MT-16 on the front of the XR-650r, & I like it.
Running a Terraflex on the rear, but I need to consider others.
It's a 140/100-18
