I would pay about $90 for a 6061 ignition cover that was a copy of the OEM cover. It would need to retain the OEM gasket. I am not interested in a clutch cover. The OEM is fine with me. There seems to be a lot of interest in custom covers. Shanman’s machinist got it to the point where all he needed ...

try cleaning the carb again. With the little red straw on a can of carb cleaner spray it through all jets, passage ways etc. Make sure nothing is blocked.

Re: Engine VIN unreadable

Has anyone had any experience with gettin their number checked. I had my engine # checked against my VIN when I took my 1985 RZ350 in to get the title transferred. It had a clean Florida title. The time AZ MVD required inspections on all out of state title transfers which they no longer do. Now you...

Assuming you are in AZ… My suggestion would be to start off at a third party title agency and see what they can do for you. They will be able to give you your options and navigate through the system better. I know a good one that is very familiar with the needs of us off road guys in east mesa, PM i...

I have not tried with OS tank, but my bet Is that it would work.

Buy a tank from some whare with a good return policy. Un pack carefully, and save packing. Just so long as it fits between the spars, and the bottom of the tank does not hit the engine components, the plastic will work.

bleeding brakes

After repacing my front brake hose, I bleed like I always bleed on autos. Pump up the brake, holding pressure open the bleed, let lever bottom, tighten bleed and repeat like a million times. no more air bubbles. I am using a clear hose attached to bleed nipple. Still is a bit musshy, must have air t...

Jay wants $30 for his brackets that I used for the shrouds. Seems high to me. I sell his 250r (atc / Trx) case saver for $15. Who knows, I guess the brackets take more machine time, or he is not as overstocked on them as he is on case savers. At any rate that is only the shroud brackets. The side pa...

What is the normal or average running temperature in the summer months? THX--Matt don't know on the 500. On my YZ I stay around 190 f racing up oldsmobile at glamis winter time, but far from cold out. Temp goes up in deep sand / slower speed. Richening up the jetting on bottom helps out alot. Remem...

I appreciate the tip and I checked it out. The photo makes it look like the clamps are closer to the radiator than they really are. An optical conclusion of sorts. The hose would also have to overpower (push out of the way) the lower crossover hose to get the clamps to touch the radiator. One may wo...

I have verizon.

Comming from mesa az if anyone wants to carpool.

Will be going by bullhead city to pick up a friend.

What is best (cheapest) way to get a pass. For glamis it is cheaper to get one from a local vendor than on site.

Anything else I ought to know about?
