Consensus is that the 250 setup is softer on bottom and more on top
the softer on the bottom is mostly caused by the lighter flywheel

Light flywheel = hard bottom end hit ( spools up easier)

Heavy flywheel ( or weighted one) softens the bottom end due to extra mass absorbing the crank impulse ...

Theres a brass idle speed screw available for the PWK. It opens the slide slightly more.

You can also clip a little off the spring, so the black plastic screw raises the slide slightly more too.

Try either one, the snipped spring is free and will probably do the trick.

Rocky Mountain is Awesome for oem 500 internal bearings, springs clips and other wierd stuff! orderd on wed jan 19 2011 and got everthing i orderd on MONDAY the 24th at 8am. ordered from a place in OHIO last summer and waited over 6 weeks for some oem 500 parts. never again.
