Pic is a little unclear but, any frame damage could possibly lead to case damage from stress.
The frame, shifter tip and footpegs are good indicators how much wear a bike truly has. At least that's where I start looking.

Just a follow up. I had 3 options and wanted to try the least abusive to the bolt just be cause I knew I could always cut a slot or weld a nut on it. Just so happens a buddy had a set of those turbo sockets and never used them, says it was a gift. Anyway, these damn things work. The ones he has are ...

Magnesium in radiators?

So, does anyone have any experience with getting magnesium out of radiators for the '85?
They're perfect otherwise and I'd prefer to keep it stock if possible.
