The Phantom is an awesome plane.
I've heard it's pretty much a school bus with 2 rocket engines.
No matter, it served with distinction.
The F86 is the model I used to play with when I was a kid.
Really sux getting old. :)

Damn, I love figher planes.

I still remember that day when I reported to the squadron commander at the 33rd TFW at Eglin. It was at the top of the hangar bay and I got to walk down the stairs inside the bay after that. Standing at the top of the hangar bay looking down at the most aggressive looking aircraft I had ever seen. A...

Nuthin special

Nuthin special here but thought I'd post something to get my mind off the bombs in Boston. Went out last weekend with my riding buddy Will and his son Dominic. Will rides a 1980 CR250. He restored it about 10 years ago and rides it all the time. Nic coated the cylinder, works shocks 1982 CR480 forks...

That's some shit. I'm just gonna get my blood pressure up I know. Good thing I'm trying to jet my bike, gets my mind off it. I met 2 guys in the Atlanta airport in feb '02. Looking back now, I think they were special operators based on our conversations and an overall feeling I had. Being former mil...

Maybe someone from that area with the same setup can give you their numbers but, you should go to the drive section and read Bob's thoughts on jetting.
It's spot on, pun intended.

Some of you have probably seen this, I just came across it again and had an uncontrolable belly laugh.

From what I've seen, Glen Helen is the place to race.
I look forward to the REM reports on MXA.
A vid of you and 2 480's would have been so sweet.

Wow. That's hard to look at. Don't put all the blame on your bro, could have just been overtime for a topend. You know those pistons will develop cracks if not replaced in time. A skirt breaks off and gets banged around the bottom. An overdue topend coupled with someone riding it like a 125 is a rec...

So many noncoms got waivers back in my day. It was sorta like county deputies, fat bastards. I worked on the flightline dodging everybody. I remember basic, 12 of everything, not tough at all. Food was good but when I got to Lowry, steak and eggs for breakfast. Sweet. Your stuff is really pretty awe...

Damn :) How the hell do you pass the physical cooking like that? I had a hard enough time back in the day (AF 70's) and back then it was only 1.5 miles in 12 minutes. Despite rumor, chow hall food was pretty good and plenty of it. Geez, I couldn't throw a leg over a bike today if I hung around your ...

CR480 parts

I'm gonna break into my '82 CR480 soon and was wondering where I can find a rod and clutch basket.
Don't know if a rod is needed yet but I'm pretty sure the basket is grooved.
Can't seem to find them in the usual online spots.
Anybody have any thoughts?

Nice looking bike - you should not adjust your brakes before a ride. I scored on a 79 YZ400 for a case of Bud Light because the guy didn't do that and crashed. HAHAHAHA! Hey, I had the back wheel off when I did the shock and forgot to adjust them. Before this video, I took it out without the camera...

Air Hammer

Took the '82 Air Hammer out for a little spin today. Redid the shock and wanted to see how it felt. Nothing spectacular, just ran it down to the cornfield and back. That cornfield was like riding on elephant snot. It didn't look slippery but it really was because we've had about a solid week of rain...
