Similar to Danny's story, I had a shooting pain through my mid to lower back whenever I sneezed after my over-the-bars trip last December. Back in May, I had another unexpected trip over the bars and it seems to have fixed whatever the first one caused. No more pain. Hmmm...Some physical therapists...

Re: Back pain, what to do

Once the pain has subsided, start a regular routine of stretching exercises focusing on stretching the ham strings. You would also do well to do exercises that focus on strengthening your pelvic and abdominal muscles in order to better support your spine/lower back. This works well to help mitigate...

Re: Back pain, what to do

Ding dang it, I woke up yesterday with lower back pain. This morning felt better, but after a day of driving and some light work, it is all stiff and feels sore. I havn't taken anything for it, but think I might right now. I hate the lower back pain because it shoots down to the back of my knees, a...

I just got off the phone with Glen and all I have to say is, WOW! What a supremely generous guy! I asked me all sorts of questions about my riding style and then instructed me on exactly what I need for my 500. Best of all, he really sounded like he enjoyed talking CR500's. Because I am a pretty rel...

You saw this happen at the dragstrip under high traction conditions, right?

The IRS center section is all aluminum, which explains their common failure.

Actually, Cobras did not come with IRS until '99. The '99-'01 Cobra center sections had 29 spline diffs whereas the '03-'04 diffs have accept a 31 spline C/V joint. Axle hop, as it is termed, actually refers to bind up of the short/long arm suspension that the IRS knuckles ride on. The compliant rub...
