my tubing was bent using a 4 1/2" sq. die in what i think is a rototary bender, was bent about 70* degrees. material used was 6061 t6 1" x 1" x .125" sq. round corner id/od tubing. no heat, annealing was applied. bends are flat and smooth, no collapsing of the radius and no crack...

OK today i took my frame, subframe and exhaust to the shop for weldng. Everything was setup and ready to go,spent 4-5 hours welding all of it including a repair to the fatty pipe that had vibration cracks in it. Its been awhile since i welded aluminum, the frame looks great and im happy with it. ;) ...

Looking Good, Q ? do you have clearance for your tank with the return hose's going over the halo instead of under ? on my gen 4 i need to run them under the halo. is there more room under the gen 3 tank ?

yeah thats an area of concern on any of these builds, i replaced the rails on my gen 4. that gave me the clearance needed to clock the motor farther foward without getting out there to far for pipe clearance. The way you did yours is probably the way i would do it to, you gain more engine and exhaus...

Hillbilly500, its looking good man. like to see that solid headstay when its done. if you did another frame would you do it like this one or stretch it for clearance ? seen it done both ways, just wondering if its worth the fab and welding to cut it up verse the s t re t c h method

CR500R7 i can't say from experience about the cr250, from what i have read and know of from people i race with they like them.
