I have 14/39 on my Street legal Motard with 17" wheels.

Gets off the line pretty decent.

Wheelies at the crack off the throttle.

The top end is frightening.

I don't have a speedometer so I'm probably not gonna be much help other than to say I ride in traffic no problem.

Likely because it is the cheapest, most effective way to produce a reliable gasket.

Imagine how fragile and prone to failure that gasket would be if it were hogged out to fit the water passages.

I betcha if you add up the area of the seemingly small round holes in the gasket and compare that to the amount of area in the outlets in the top of the head, the outlets are the constriction.

In one if his posts TTM said how tough it was to weld around the inside of the head outlets on that design.

Did it never occur to him to bore one outlet to 3/4 and plug the other?

this is way cheaper.........

I got this idea from Lonewolf's build.

CRF450/250 outlet elbow.

$11 OEM part.

Clearance one hole, weld in the elbow, weld the other hole shut.

The suspension sucks I agree. The bike also is a lot bigger which I do like cause I'm tall. I ride on a sand track so our tires last a long time. There is no comparing 450 clutch life to 125 2-stroke clutch life. I'm just saying those 125SXs are known for making crazy power. And mine held together r...

I can testify to that! My bone stock 2001 125SX, which has had five sets of tires yet still on it's original clutch and top end, recently smoked by buddy's '06 YZ with a fresh 144cc top end, pipe and all that jazz, in a drag race. My 125SX has seen hundreds of hours of track time and still hauls ass...

I have 14/39 with 17s on my motard with a '97 motor.

I rode in traffic for the first time the other day and spent most of my time in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Gonna hook a speedo this weekend and get a top speed run
