I love these stories. A friend of mine just scored a '96 CR250 for $200 "with a siezed motor". He brought it home, put in a new spark plug, and some fresh premix, and the bike fired right up and ran strong. He spent some $$$ on new UFO plastic and sold it two weeks later (he was going to k...

DG Performance pipes?

Has anybody ever tried current DG Performance "R" series stock replacement pipes? $99!!! On my '90 500r, I really thought the stock pipe hit harder than the FMF I put on it, and eventually went back to it, as I loved the "hit" it gave versus the near linear curve of the FMF Gnarl...

I'm 43, and have had a hearing loss ever since I was 15 when I thought it was a really cool idea to pull the silencer off my '76 YZ-125X. There was a really noticable increase in power...and volume. Cost me a Flight School slot when I was at Marine Corps OCS a few years later and the Navy Dr.'s said...

More rear shock ?'s ' - 95 Identification question

I have a'95 with a worn out shock. I recently bought a nice one on Ebay that was perportedly from a '95. However, upon examination the reservoir adjusting screw assembly is slightly different between the two...Ok, could be mid-production change, it's a small difference...I don't know. The one I had ...

Smoking...meats!

I have always liked smoking up a batch of beef jerky, or smoked salmon, but about a year ago I finally got tired of having to re-load the Little Chief brand smoker I'd had for about twenty years. A family at the end of our driveway had a hot water heater set out to be taken away, and when I drove bu...

I concur. I like a lot of food, but when it comes right down to it, my three top favs have got to be a good beef ribsteak, an outstanding pizza, or a plain, old-fashioned hotdog. And of those three, I think I'd put the hotdog on the top of the list. The problem is, too many people think of the crapp...

Howzitgoin' from the South Puget Sound?

When I heard about the Banned CR500 Riders group, I figured it was probably more my style, so I promptly jumped ship and made my way here. I am 43, have been riding dirt for 20 years, and have had a leg over a CR500 off and on for the last 11 years. Currently have a '95 CR500R, an '06 Husqvarna TE51...
